August 13, 201312 yr Currently I have an i5 2500k overclocked to 4.8, along with an asus p8p67 le motherboard, 8 gb of ram & a gtx670. Considering jumping onto Haswell with an i7 4770k and an asus sabertooth motherboard to go with it. Would I see much difference/ be worth it? Thanks in advance. Ryan Taylor
August 13, 201312 yr Not worth it IMO. Without deliding, Haswell tops at about 4.4-4.5GHz with great cooling. It's a 15% faster but your running a 6 - 10% higher clock so you'd end up with just a 5 - 10% perf boost
August 13, 201312 yr Nah not worth. Have the same setup mine only at 4.3ghz. You at least going to spend roughly 300~400 to get the extra fps maybe 3 or 2? further more you have to re install and driver all that. A 700series video card will do Kailiang Seah
August 13, 201312 yr Author Cheers for the replies guys! Will keep it for the upgrade next year or so when the next line is out
August 13, 201312 yr And what of my setup, worth the move? Cheers. 4.4GHz Haswell is about a 50% faster than your 3.9GHz Nehalem
