November 3, 200421 yr Hi,I have tried the search but it didn't come up with related results so I'd like to ask you guys if anyone knows if there is an Airbus A400 model already available for the FS2k4? Or does anyone know if such a model is in the making? When will we be able to fly the great A400?TIAPhalanx :)
November 4, 200421 yr I'll take a guess here. Maybe because there is no A400 (less of a guess and more of a fact)!Cheers,JohnBoeing 727/737 & Lockheed C-130/L-100 Mechanichttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg

November 4, 200421 yr John, the A400 has been under development for at least 6 years I guess and I *know* there are NO A400's flying around in service already, BUT I know that the A400 will be delivered to a whole bunch of European Nations (Germany, Italy, ...).The correct url would be the http://www.airbusmilitary.comWhere you can read everything about the Airbus A400, e.g. :Airbus Military offers the military air transport world a modern, multi-r
November 4, 200421 yr Hello,Thank you for the links. I didn't mean to get into a rough here by my comment. I should have put a smiley up as it was more of a tongue in cheek comment :D . The A400M is, in all reality, still a paper airplane with it's proposed first flight 4-5 years away. Unless there's a freeware designer making one, I doubt you'll see it and definitely not a payware one until the real aircraft has flown and proves popular.JohnBoeing 727/737 & Lockheed C-130/L-100 Mechanichttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg
November 4, 200421 yr Hi John,uh sorry then, hehe!! :)I just had a look at that homepage and saw those photos there... must be some kinda prototype of the A400M then I guess.Anyway I hope there will be a FlightSimulator model as soon as this great plane goes into service!(imagine what that model will look like in FS2008 ;))Best regards and thanks
November 29, 200520 yr Hey there, me again. Now, one year later and still no A400M model available for the FS2k4 right? Too bad, I'd still love to fly one of those :(
November 29, 200520 yr This was on the Avsim news awhile ago. It must be early because I cant believe I am the obly one who remembers it.;)http://www.wilcopub.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=prod_A400M Andrew
November 29, 200520 yr Yes! Thats exactly what I was looking for, thanks a lot :) Guess I'll order it and wait until Jan 2006 when it arrives!!
November 29, 200520 yr I've been watching this develop on the Wilco site with quite a bit of interest.Don't know about the real world - but I do believe a follow on C-130 and/or C-160 replacement is needed in my opinion and this appears to be the only aircrat under development. Also an eventual replacement for several Soviet aircraft. The C-17 is a great aircraft - but too expensive for many countries. The C-130 / L-100 will hang around and be the DC-3 of the 21st century - but the technology has changed so much in the 40 years since the C-130 first flew. They will be updated and repaired for many years to come - but 2013 is the projected date when airframes will have to start being replaced - with ......
