Haswell Temp/Voltage Comparison & Stability

I am enjoying my new Haswell rig, but I'm a little concerned about my voltage results after seeing what most others are reporting with a similar setup.  I use a 1.30 vcore, on a 4.4/4.0 core/cache multiplier.   Max temp is 77 under an AIDA stress test.   I just tried reapplying the thermal paste, thinking I had too much on before, but when I tried to lower the vcore to 1.29 it failed the test.  

The hardware specs are listed on the left. It is winter now and I have a huge tower with plenty of airflow.   Should I just accept that this chip loves volts?  Does CPU temp during stess test impact vcore?   If I was to upgrade the CPU cooler fans to drop temps, would that have any effect on allowing a drop in vcore?
