October 1, 201312 yr Author Guys, I got the video working properly ! The color depth issue is resolved. I had installed K-lite Codec Pack as suggested earlier. I don't know what occurred to me but I turned off the Intel Indeo 5 format in the pack (via Codec Tweak Tool > Config > DirectShow Filters > LAV Video decoder (x86) > Formats tab) !

I guess you're probably right and although I could live without watching the movie using a nomovie line, but knowing it wouldn't play at all would break my heart !!! Thanks for all the interest and help Dave and Lars ! Let's keep Flight Unlimited 3 alive as long as we can.
