I've tried both of your Lost caches, but get no indication of success.  I understand that there's no marker, but is there still supposed to be a yellow flash with success?

No flash, sorry. These are aerocache locations that I had submitted to MsFlight but were not put out in the game before they stopped new ones and started repeating. Hence the term "LOST." You won't get the points either. I have a couple more interesting locations still left.
