Look in the AVSIM library for Doherty's Dangerous Approaches. Your set in line with the runway and have to bring it in a variety of times of day, weather, and airplanes. Lots of fun.Quasar

Yeah Dohertys approaches are so damn fun

Kathmandu is a fav of mine. Sierra approach to rwy 02. I love it. Scary as hell when it's overcast!

Not exactly what Id call a "Dangerous" approach, but a Fun one. Paradise, CA... much like landing on an aircraft carrier coming from the west. Or taking off, the ground drops out from under you... A friend of mine used to own the airfield before he passed on and got his own wings. He used to taxi partway down the runway, then begin his takeoff to get just enough lift so the C182 dropped a few feet as it left the runway.... or went off the cliff. Havent tried that, as we dont get the feeling of falling in downdrafts, but will next time I fly from there. Bob

I would suggest anyone tries Ljubljana. Approaching from the north west over the Alps the airfield is backed by 10000 ft mountains and again to the west. You dont descend below 13000 ft until you are literally overhead. On the day in my picture I went visual downwind at 10000 feet.I left in poor visibility low clouds and thunderstorms on a hairy SID which is quite worrying when you are low in solid cloud with embedded CBS blocking areas of the SID.Atc vectored me to a safe level before turning North West to pick up the Airway. In a slow climbing Seneca Phewwww :-) LJLJ check the plates Peterhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/97528.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/97534.jpg
