September 6, 201312 yr Hi all, I was looking through the failures list in the FMC for the 777 the other day and a thought struck me. Weird I know! If failures are set at "Random/on" does that mean that the failures will only occur if I abuse the plane or a part/system wears out or does that mean the part/system will fail after a given random period of time. Just a thought! Great plane by the way, truly amazing but still not going to replace all my MD11's in the hanger, there is just something about that plane! Happy Flying, Dave Phillips.
September 6, 201312 yr Random period of time. Not sure which statistic they are using, could be the t-statistic which is used in reliability studies or it could just be random. Dan Downs KCRP
