Heading Inacurate

Featured Replies

I noticed that when I try to set heading select, the aircraft flies 2-5 degrees left or right of the bug. Is it supposed to do that?

Thanks in advance!

I suspect that you have TRK up set for the ND, rather than HDG up? Can choose which in FMC

Thanks for your quick response.

How do you switch from TRK to HDG?

thanks.

Yes, I can see a green TRK next to the heading window.

What is the difference between the two modes?

TRK allows you to track a course to or from a station tuned in your nav radio, I think...

HDG makes your aircraft fly the direct heading in the heading window.
