Error unable to connect to Activation Server

downloaded, un-zipped, installed and trying to activate - but after typing the activation code and pressing "Activate" - seems to be normal but I receive information that "context created" and later a massage pops-up: "Error unable to connect to Activation Server. Hi tomaszr

I have the very same problem to activate T7 as you got. I've tried to disable all my firewalls and User Account Control but have had no luck this far. I've made more than 60 attempts, but... NO!

My computer have all the latest Microsoft Update's, Internet Connections is Ok, e-mail is OK.

I really hope someone in this forum can help us.

Activation is all OK now!

I've found a solution. I read coolpilot06 topic saying "Support responded the issue may be Port 8888 being blocked".

After having read this I then opened up my firewall and configured Port 8888 set to open.

That was it!

I'm happy as a bird right now!

Have a pleasent evening to all of you!

HI, I installed the 777 at work and it can't connect to the activation server, but there is no way to open port 8888, it's controlled by the administrator. Is there a way I can do? Since I have installed it also at home, could I use an activation file from my computer at home to activate it at work?

Thanks.

James Goggi

No way to have it at work?

Thanks.
