September 14, 201312 yr I tried running the SP1 patch as admin on win7 64-bit home premium. Its starts installing but then just disappears and does not complete. Of course, SP1 is required for SP2 installation, so I am stuck. I have already tried installing using the action center and having it install as in xp or vista emulation mode but nothing works.
