gps as nd

Featured Replies

Hi, is there a default fs9 garmin gps that has been edited to look like an jetliner nd? I'm bored with the default nd's without flighttracks and stuff....

Actually there are very nice simulations of actual EFIS EADI and EHSI here, and you can couple them with any GPS:www.reality-xp.comHope this helps!

He means the Jet Line 4. In some cases, depending on your panel, the JL 2 might be more appropriate. Both have a similar EHSI. They show either the flightpan loaded into FS9, couple with the GPS, and if using one of Reality's GPS can show the flightplan entered in that and couple the AP to that.I have both the JL2 and JL4 series each installed as appropriate for turbo-prop or jet aircraft. Both products also have TCAS available on the EHSI. Most colors are customizable for best legibility and are very clear to read, even at smaller panel sizes.(While I did participate in troubleshooting one product as a beta tester, I am not a development team member and a satisfied paying customer.)

Exactly what I mean...alas payware, but most goodies are nowadays.....Thanks for the link

Payware - yes. But the cost is distributed among all of the freeware and payware aircraft you use and is compatible with most.

My freeware 737 panel has a moving map in the ND. Several people have adapted it for use on other panels. You can get the files at http://www.pspanels.co.uk and check the posts in the developer forum on the site for examples of use in other panels. This is not nearly as sophisticated as the reality xp ones but it won't cost you a bean!Cheers,
