November 23, 200421 yr <>That's funny Mark, as I started my long quest to have Kai Tak rebuilt ever since I fell victim to your websites! The circle of (flightsim) life continues...
November 23, 200421 yr "Ponyboyz",Looking forward to seeing what you're going to send me. Is it something about using part of Kai Tak as a general aviation airfield?Mark,Your infectious enthusiasm and dedication to Kai Tak surpassed mine long ago. I remember the days when I was flying around with FS5, trying to fly the curved approach. Back then, the simulator only depicted Kai Tak as a single runway with no scenery at all around it. We've come a long way. With FS9, I believe a very nice Kai Tak can be done and should be done, in due course!Michael,Check if the scenery has actually been installed. Go to your main scenery folder and see if vhhh2005b is there.
November 24, 200421 yr Author >I let MSFS do the work rather than hand editing the cfg file. Thanks for the tip. This finally worked for me. I had to later manually add the flatten switch but it was a 10 sec job.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2 Michael J.
November 24, 200421 yr HiI followed the instructions as per the readme file but I haven't noticed any difference than the default scenery of the Hong Kong international airport. This is my scenery.cfg add-on:[Area.041]Title=Chek_Lap_KokLayer=41Active=TRUELocal=Sceneryvhhh2005bRemote=Required=FALSEflatten.0=19,N22 22.68,E113 55.15,N22 22.38,E113 56.84,N22 21.57,E113 56.84,N22 21.57,E113 54.83Title=vhhh2005bBy the way why is it called Hong Kong Chek Lap Kok International Airport since there is no one in FS2004?Stelios Stelios Christofides
November 24, 200421 yr Author Stelios,Read my post above. I had the same problem and solved it by adding the VHHH scenery through the FS Scenery Library.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2 Michael J.
