November 22, 200421 yr Great scenery of Chek Lap Kok (VHHH) !As Thomas mentions in his readme, he will bring us an update of old Kai Tak, hopefully in near future. I believe that it's not only me waiting for it as the existing VHHX sceneries are all with some problems (Thomas' version for FS2000 works but the textures do not always fit, especially water, Roger Mole's very nice scenery is very heavy on framerate, Flightsoft - no comment). For me Hong Kong is always a fascinating place to fly IFR and VFR.Thanks again Thomas !Peter
November 22, 200421 yr Author Is it some new VHHH scenery or is it the same VHHH Thomas did like 2 years ago?OK, I checked in the library - it is brand new.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2 Michael J.
November 23, 200421 yr Thanks for the kind words. Glad to know that you're liking the scenery. I can empathize with the sim community's desire for an updated Kai Tak scenery. However, I will give myself a long break before I start on another scenery. For now, I'm just happy to sit back and enjoy the sim for what it is. With the recent outpouring of all kinds of wonderful add-ons, it is a very good time to be enjoying FS2004 to the fullest.Thomas
November 23, 200421 yr Yes Thomas, a wonderful upgrade. I especially like your work on the control towers and the Haeco hangar. Superb! With regards to Kai Tak I recently recieved some important news direct from a senior VHHH official in Hong Kong you might be interested in hearing about. I will email you in a few days regarding this.Again many thanks for your contribution. We now have half the Hong Kong puzzle solved! Now take that well deserved rest....
November 23, 200421 yr <<<<>>>Ha! I should say so, Thomas! I started all my Cathay flightsim web pages around the pivotal point of your first Kai Tak scenery, and have been waiting in hope ever since. I've gone through FS2000>FS2002>FS2004 .... I'm a patient man.For all that, your v3 works pretty well in FS2004 for the moment! It's still my scenery of choice ...Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM

November 23, 200421 yr ///Area.063/// What do those slashes stand for ? There should be squared brackets. Slashes usually exclude text from being processed, so probably your Area.63 is not recognized and therefore omitted.Peter

November 23, 200421 yr Stating the obvious: The scenery is outstanding, better than some good payware. What I really like is the extended coverage, with ships and surroundings, it really makes the approaches feel real. -

November 23, 200421 yr Maybe you missed something simple. You installed it but did you "activate" it?
