do you need a soundcard for buttkicker or can you use the inbuilt soundcard that comes with the motherboard?

Yes it works with your built in sound card. It comes with all necessary cables

hi can anyone tell me if you feel any vibrations in cruise? or is it mainly in takeoff and landing this buttkicker really shines?

Yeah it does if theres turbulence and it depends on your engine volume

I got the first version of Buttkicker about 6 years ago and wouldn't be without it. It adds immensely to immersion not only in FSX but even more so in fighter sims such as IL2 where you can feel as well as hear cannon recoil, AAA explosions, bullets hitting the fuselage and stall shake.

Also in racing sims  - running over the ribbed kerbs and feeling your chair shake really puts you in the driving seat. More essential than TrackIR in my opinion.
