September 20, 201312 yr I made a flight plan from LSZH ( Zurich ) to LSGG ( Geneva ) using PFPX . At SPR the plan indicated an altitude of 5204 feet and I ask myself if this is right since the Glide Slope ( for ILS 23 ) starts at 7000 feet. In other words do I have to be at 7000 feet when crossing SPR or can I be lower ? A chart is included. Thanks Hubert Werni Herbert Werni

Thanks Hubert Werni You can't go any lower than 7000 ft, look at the note in the chart just below the VOR,MSA 7000ft within 10 miles. September 20, 201312 yr With ATC or without? With ATC then there's definitely a chance that they could vector you lower. Without ATC: I generally adjust crossing restrictions to match the charts. But there's no issue with intercepting the G/S from below (lower) as long as you are mindful of MSA restrictions. EDIT: Yeah, I missed that restriction within 10 miles of the VOR. 7000 it is.
