September 24, 201312 yr Author Maybe PMDG could? I am mostly interested in a few important features. Does Southern Air use RAAS? And what are their callouts set to?
September 25, 201312 yr Author I am still not sure about RAAS, I presume they would order it as it is becoming popular now for safety. But I have researched and found a few changes to the supplied PMDG settings. The only small differences seem to be there is no angle of attack circle on the mfd, there probably is no passenger sign configuration installed, and just a guess here, but I presume they have the altitude approach sound set to on, while pmdg has it set off. Why would anyone order an airplane without it??
September 25, 201312 yr Commercial Member Why would anyone order an airplane without it?? Why would Southwest Airlines forbid the use of autothrottle or VNAV until a few years ago in their 737s? Aviation doesn't always make sense. Kyle Rodgers
September 25, 201312 yr Author That was so their pilots would be more familiar with operating the new NG's compared to their classics. The same reason why they opted for the side by side layout rather than the more practical and normal layout.
