Hello everybody, a while ago (7 months+ i think)  I purchased Windows 8 but quickly switched back to windows 7 because of all the issues with joysticks for FSX and so on. Now, since it's been a while and I switched to XPX and P3D V2 is coming "soon" i'm thinking of switching back. I did really like it unlike most people. I'm just curious on whether I will still have joystick issues or anything else. Thanks!

 

P.S   I have been hearing quite a lot about Win8 8.1. If i re install Win8 should I update to it?

Yes, the joystick issues are still present unless you are willing to convert 100% over to FSUIPC for your controller management (at least for FSX/P3D...I have no idea what X10 is doing about this).

 

There is very little difference for desktop users in Win 8.1. The inclusion of a Start button which does not behave at all like the Start button you're used to is probably the most significant change. There is also an option to boot to desktop. Everything else is for the ponies.
