September 23, 201312 yr I'm unable to buy it right now... While I have to wait for funds :-), I would really like to ear from the users regarding the Saab 340 flight characteristics :-) - I already know Goran took care of the unfamous "torque bug" :-), which is always good to know... - Since the T700 is free-runing, I wonder how deep the simulation goes trying to overcome the core limitations of X-Plane ( does FF vary with Prop RPM changes, flying straigh & level and without any power adjustments)? - Is there any noticeable impact from the use of the anti-ice systems in engine performance? What about bleed air and it's impact (thx anthony_d ) ? - Are failures modelled? Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
September 23, 201312 yr Good questions. Also add bleed air to that. If you turn it off, do you get more power / save fuel?
September 23, 201312 yr Commercial Member - Since the T700 is free-runing, I wonder how deep the simulation goes trying to overcome the core limitations of X-Plane ( does FF vary with Prop RPM changes, flying straigh & level and without any power adjustments?) Yes. The engine model is completely custom programmed and bypasses X-Planes default engine model. - Is there any noticeable impact from the use of the anti-ice systems in engine performance? Yes. - Are failures modelled? There is no "custom failures module", so to speak. But failures will occur...such as engine failures, electrical failures, etc... if procedures are not followed. Good questions. Also add bleed air to that. If you turn it off, do you get more power / save fuel? Yes. The bleed air system, as well as the hydraulic system and electrical system have been faithfully reproduced according to the AOM.
September 23, 201312 yr Author Whow Goran, you're a picky guy ( just like me... ) so I would expect you took care of it ;-) This is really good news!!! So, as I once pointed out, this is pretty much for X-plane what the Majestic Q-400 is for FSX, doing most of it's work outside of the sim to escape the limitations! Thank you for the prompt answer. I look forward to be able to try it myself! I look forward to be able to try it myself! I will never forget those engines. Jim (programmer) and I spent about 3-4 months of 17 hour days making sure those engines worked to spec. Then we found a bug in the system and spent a further 4 weeks fixing that.
