Lights still going on and off

Featured Replies

Steve,  I'm still having issues with the street lights going on and off. I'm not sure if it's just  my setup or the area I'm flying in. I haven't noticed it in other areas.

I'm using FTX Global with UTX lights ( I prefer them) and the DX10 fixer, of course. I fly from KPHL to KMDT (short flight) at about 3500 feet and the lights below cut in and out for the majority of the flight. I would appreciate it if you would check it as a possible bug or let me know if there is something I can do about it. Thank You.

Yes, the button is enabled. It says "disable".

OK, here's where I'm at now. I hadn't used FTXG lights because they were too big when I use bloom. Now that you can adjust them through your DX10 fixer, I've got the FTXG lights looking pretty good and, of course, they don't blink on and off.

Would adding a ballast light to an airplane have an effect on the scenery lights?

Normally no. The Effects system is a mess in DX10. The first effect in the scene is usually invisible/or restricted to some angles - that's normally the plane nav lights.

Things after that are ok.

The Effects fix avoids this for all effects. BUT legacy scenery lights get implemented as effects without being associated with an effects file - so they aren't immune and get hit by the invisibility/angle thing.

The ballast light can avoid this - it gets the invisibility and saves the runway lights - totally mad I know
