CTD. C:\Windows\system32\d3d11.dll error

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have been installing several games in my computer.. Yesterday, before doing it.. I was flying correctly without any problem.

Now.. I entered the fixer.. and it said to me that DX was changed and needed to make changes to include new libraries.. Did the changes..

Entered FSX and suddently.. CRASH to Desktop. The reason this:

C:\Windows\system32\d3d11.dll

have to say that I use SweetFX with it.. but never had a problem before today.

here they say to remove an update of windows7

http://forum.avsim.net/topic/419530-d3d11dll-causing-fatal-error-crash/#entry2792041

any clue how to fix it? Thanks!

Sorry what tool said what precisely and what changes did you make?

Are you referring to the "Effects have changed" popup described on about page 36 of the manual?

is there a way to see the log? because I don't remember.. I think it was some lights and other stuff.. At the end appeared the same box that appears when you enable the lights-change.

Right now I was flying and same error.... CTD

enter the fixer.. and if I switch off the lights conversion and switch on, appears the same option I had automatically to change things because change of DirectX detection.

The box promp you to:

"You are about to make changes to effect files. please confirm that: You want to do this. Understand that the changes could impact the aircraft under DX9".

press Ok.. and says me:

Elasped Time: 2

Effects 630

Unconverted lights 398

Converted Effects 398

Restored Effects 0

Fire errors 0

This is more or less the same it happened. Don't know if has something to do with that change it made. This second flight-test.. didn't CTD soon.. Stayed 20 minutes and crashed.. The other one crashed in 2 minutes or so.. Maybe the  KB2670838 update didn't affect yesterday or pass yesterday, because I have that update four days ago.

in event viewer.. I see this second crash is also because d3d11.dll

Don't know if SweetFX has anything to do with it.. or any other driver installed in Windows.

Dammm I hate this things!!

I can assure you its unconnected to modifying effects which are simple configuration files.

If the problem reoccurs I would try removing sweetfx which must actually use that library and/or following the advice to remove the windows update.

Yes.. I am making a test flight without Sweetfx (damm how it changed for blurry without sweetFX!!). If it goes good I will try to uninstall that update...

BUT that update seems to be an DX11.1 (I think) Hope things won't break because deleting it.

would be nice if the fixer would include the options of sweetfx mofifications to make it compatible with other drivers.....

Did 2 hours flight without issues.. 1 without the Sweetfx.. and the other with SweetFX and uninstalling that update.. Seems that the problem was there with SweetFX..

the problem is that I will miss that update.. and don't know if it is important or not.
