Slats slow alert

Featured Replies

Hello :)

I was on final approach (1000ft) when i hear two times slats slow.I was in my VREF speed (137+5) with 15 winds at 8 o clock of the airplane.I put 7kt more than my VREF speed and he stop the alert. What is exactly "slats slow" alert?

Thanks

No, you are fine, Slats deploy when you extend the flaps (Slats are on the leading edge of the wing and flaps are on the trailing edge of the wing). I have never heard the plane state "Slats Slow".

it wasn't "Glideslope" was it?, indicating you were off glideslope? This is the only GPWS callout i think sounds like this

It was etablished on the LOC (1000ft) but no glide yet then passing 800ft he took me into the glide, but first i increase speed to cancel the alarm.Airport was Dakar: GOOY.

Maybe i confuse with "slats stow" alert

I found that in another forum:

The slat extend function can be overridden by the use of a SLAT STOW button, but it is unlikely that this was used.

It's true?
