  1. I was worried about this too as my HD crashed so i cannot unregister. Hope you had a great christmas all
  2. Merry Christmas All, my HDD crashed the other day, having to rebuild from scratch. See you in the new year
  3. Yes it definately works. I was flying to St Lucia the other day from Trinidad and Tobago and was warned about thunderstorms and windshear around St Lucia. Sure enough the weather was pea soup with plenty of lightning and turbulence. 4 miles out on the VOR RWY 10 approach, i had "monitor radar" aural alert but then went silent. it looks like the windshear was slightly offset to the runway which meant continuing to a safe touchdown was possible after seeing a break in the clouds.
  4. Amazing work, Thanks Bryan. Been so looking forward to getting this and have already installed but real life is going to stop me enjoying it for a while. Also forgot the 5 Euro discount doh! Thanks Ceri
  5. I have also experienced some bugs on the 777...on the windscreen, usually cleared by engaging left wiper control to intermittant
  6. Try taking a heavily loaded 777 on final approach and realistic ref speed and simulating a wind shear in the debug window. If you do not react immediately you will get eye candy of terrain going through your cockpit. Just tried it now and did not engage toga untill to late after the "windsheer ahead aural warning" and crashed 3 miles short of the threshold
  7. +1 bryan, you are a legend sir. Can't wait for some help in the cockpit
  8. Personally i never switch screens or minimise etc during flight as its inevitably causes the problems you get. I do not even switch to external view at all. I found the best way is to have any external program running on a networked PC so you never have to touch anything on the main FSX PC in flight Best of luck Ceri
  9. Managed my first sucesfull flight with the T7 from any scenery to EGLL and ORBK ENGLAND from FNLU without OOM and still 800 meg in the bank. All sceneries disabled apart from origin and destination. Never been able to do this before SP1 without OOM. Was thinking even about being a bit cheeky and using my taxi cam but thought better of it.
  10. Vatsim offer a range of free courses. The P1 course is fantastic as it offers fantastic training from the basics all the way to an online exam. And its free!!!
  11. Thanks PMDG, this was already an amazing product but now its been elevated to the stratosphere. Sometimes its easy to forget how far we have come in this hobby due to people like yourselves. Every product increases the immersion by a truckload. You can justifiably be extremely proud of what you have continued to achieve. Very much looking forward to the future. Ceri
  12. I thoroughly recommend you try the trial version if you havent done so. This has got to be one of the best and immersive addons i have ever got for FSX, if you have to hold off on anything else just to get this, you wont be dissapointed. I beleive the weather radar is only possible with the technological leap that ASN has provided.
  13. Amazing that you manage to complete one flight safely!!!. The saying goes Dogs have owners...cats have staff. Back to the subject. God Speed Robert on your recovery!
  14. My cat found the key combination for slew and turned my view upside down while also typing some crazy text on unicom while mid atlantic, he still still needs some training before he can qualify as first officer. only thing is he switches off 2 seconds in my aoa training on the 777 and starts snoring.
  15. What i like is that you can leave your main FSX PC running on full screen (or windowed ) without having to alt-tab to other applications and cause issues. I have Active Sky next/ REX 4 and vatspy on another PC and all my flightplanning stuff like PFPX, fscommander and similar on a 3rd pc but the combinations are infnite. The most difficult part is setting up simmconnect but froogles video is spot on Best of luck Ceri
  16. Best of luck with the recovery and look forward to the pinnacle of FSX aviation becoming an even better reality!!!
  17. Cant wait, especially with that lovely BA livery. Thanks for the preview Luke
