October 2, 201312 yr I forgot to set the RTO switch before pushback. During taxi I found that selecting the switch to RTO was immediately reset to OFF by the sim. Only when I came to a halt at the runway holding point was I able to set RTO. The FCOM manual only states "Selecting RTO (rejected takeoff) prior to takeoff arms the autobrake system. The RTO mode can be selected only on the ground". No mention that the aircraft has to be stationary.
