Planes: Anyone seen the movie?

Featured Replies

I took my 4 year old son to go and see this over the weekend  and I'm not sure who was more excited, me or him!

We turned up to the theatre with the pre purchased tickets (so we could get a free toy - for my son of course), purchased the "Planes" popcorn and drink combo so we could get another free toy and poster (again for my son  ).

We even ended up going to the store afterwards to get the Propwash Junction Airport playset, for my son of course

The movie was good fun and a great way for me to share some of my passion for aviation with my son.

It's great to be able to share an interest with someone else, specially one of your kids and have them enjoy it with you. He even sits at the PC flying around in FSX, although I do turn off crashes for him so he doesn't get too frustrated.

Now we run around the living room with our planes pretending to race etc and then come back to land at propwash junction.

I highly recommend the film as a bit of fun. It's for kids of all ages, myself included! lol :P

Oh, forgot to mention, there's a nice little appearance by what looks like an AA 777. I had a bit of a laugh since they pointed out the new livery, I don't think anyone else in the theatre would have picked it up.

Went with a bunch of my grandkids. They liked it, and my wife and I did too. I'll even buy it on BlueRay.

Looking forward to going with my Grandkids.  I'm sure they'll love it!

They will. It was a heap of fun.

Might even make them future flight simmers! lol

Went to see it with my semi-autistic brother. He didn't quite get everything, but I had a blast!

The PT6 joke was unexpected and awesome, but I was the only one in the cinema who laughed.

lol, I felt the same way about a couple of things. No one else was laughing but I was. Nice that they worked in some real world aviation stuff into the movie.
