October 7, 201312 yr Gooday gentlemen, Title says it really, I use P3d but just reinstalled FSX to try out the T7. I have filled out both paths in the Opus Config window. OpusWeather option doesn't show up in the FSX World/Weather window as it does in P3d . Any guidance please? Many thanks in advance. Gareth Gareth Wilkinson LEAL Costa Blanca, SPAIN
October 7, 201312 yr Commercial Member You can switch between the two. Just browse and identify the install folders of FSX and P3D in the relevant boxes in the Configure dialog. Then select the sim you wish to use, if you change the sim type you must restart the FSXSERVER program. The software will not connect to both at the same time, just the sim type you have selected for that session. Make sure you set the sharing, permissions, and security on both the dirves and install folders for both sims. So yes you can switch between the two and also mix and match in Live View systems. But obviously you must only select one at a time, restarting the FSXSERVER after making any changes to the sim type, and making sure you follow the Getting Started guide for setting sharing etc. for both sims. If you are not getting weather in FSX then you either have not selected the FSX sim type and restarted, or you haven't identified the FSX install folder correctly, or you haven't set the sharing, permissions, and security for your FSX install drive and folder. October 7, 201312 yr Author Many thanks for your hallmark helpful reply! I have P3D and FSX installed on discrete SSDs, and keep UAC disconnected, but went through the permissions and security settings anyway, on drives, install folders, and key folders as per the Getting Started Guide, and after a bit of trial and error it did the trick. So, thanks again Stephen. Cheers, Gareth Gareth Wilkinson LEAL Costa Blanca, SPAIN
October 13, 201312 yr Commercial Member Yes, it already does. We will also be making the most of all new features that are not already covered by the current software. As far as I am aware though all the new features are currently covered by the existing OpusFSX software. Stephen
