October 7, 201312 yr Hi guys, in case of the upcomming Cross the Pond Event on the 12th October 2013 Eastbound to the European Airspace we all 777-pilots need a fix/update. Is it possible to expect the update before these event or not? Especially for transition-waypoints at Frankfurt/Munich like DM422 oder DM424. It is unable to put it into the FMC but they are standard operations for high-traffic situations at Frankfurt or Munich. Hope I can expect and answer of you Thx a lot! Cheers, Timm Rehberg
October 7, 201312 yr Commercial Member This is surely a nav DB problem and not an aircraft problem? Best regards, Robin.
October 7, 201312 yr Select the STAR and Transition and Approach. 99% chance the waypoint you are looking for is in there now. Just line select it and track direct to. I was really hoping this was going to be a vatsim fan thread saying how awesome cross the pond was going to be, and not some whiny childish winge about "If you don't get it out before 4 days time I'm gonna sue!" October 7, 201312 yr Commercial Member Well let's hijack the thread and turn it into a "how great VATSIM CTP will be" thread. I'm ready to go! B) Bring on the weekend!!! Best regards, Robin.
October 7, 201312 yr Me too. Just cleared 500GB of space on my external USB 1TB HDD to record the whole thing on. Hopefully I get across the whole way without any OOM's (Havn't had any for a while now, but 60+ aircraft in visual range (at a single airport none the less) might be different). I also have a day off from work so I can spend the day after sleeping lol. Trent Hopkinson, 2015 Crewmember of www.mangrove.com.au WorldFlight sim Youtube channel www.youtube.com/user/musicalaviator

October 10, 201312 yr Different and alone without ATC? instead of the same and busy as heck managing TCAS, ATC and trying to get a word in on the radio through the other hundred aircraft on frequency? riight. That's exactly why I would go my transpacific route and my main issue with events is with ATC being so saturated that I often get neglected, HNL became so busy during a FNO that I simply diverted to the big island and avoided those nasty holds they were giving out (after 4 hours in the 737 I wanted to land and shut down). Once in oceanic though I'm txt only (one way to somewhat model CPLDC and don't feel like wearing my headsets the whole time, PC speakers are inop). Not that it matters, just found out I'm scheduled to work so Saturday's out. Alex Jevdic KORD/KHOT/KPWKA<380 love at first flight
