How to line up my baron perfectly with the runway using autopilot?

Hello, I have this simple question:

 

How do I line up my Baron that uses G1000 perfectly with the runway using autopilot?

I know where to get the ILS and Heading of the runway, I just need some simple step by step guide on how to set up the plane so that it automatically lines itself up with the runway perfectly, so that all I have to do is control the descent and then turn off the autopilot and land the plane.

You're skipping some steps but try this. Slew ( keyboard Y key) your plane to a 5 mi final and save it as a flight. That way you can practice approach/landing by yourself as many times as you want.

Yes, but I think he's looking for someone to tell him exactly what buttons to hit on the G1000 in regards to setting the NAV and runway heading in order to land on the center of the runway.  Landing is simple.  Going AP and letting the aircraft autoland is different.  The G1000 is what is difficult for many.  Now here's a link to the G1000 Channel - http://www.youtube.com/channel/HCFeipE8AgeD8 - where there are several video tutorials of the G1000.  I really don't think there is a simplified way of programming the G1000.  This is why a lot of people kind of don't like it as it requires a lot of reading and studying to become proficient with it.  But, isn't this the goal of any hobby?  To become proficient in the various aspects of our hobby?  Nothing is really easy and I personally do not see how anyone can simplify a tutorial of landing the Baron with the G1000.

What Jim said.  Also, always hit the NAV button before hitting the APR button.  If it's a precision approach (e.g. ILS) don't hit APR until you have the GlideSlope indicator showing.

Or better yet, download Lord of the Landing from the Avsim library. That's a nice little tool that can set up your flight at a few positions along the final approach (4nm lined up, 8nm lined up, 12nm lined up/offset to the left/right), and configures the plane so that landing it is possible without imminent stalls, whcih might occur when you slew to that position from the airport.

It also gives you a quite range of info, such as the current METAR for the airport, and the ILS freq for the intended RWY, and it will evaluate your landing in terms of stability of the approach, VS on approach, landing spped, VS on touchdown etc., so that's a great tool for practicing landings in any plane - and it's freeware!
