October 8, 201312 yr Got all set up for long ANA (livery) flight RJTT-KLAX and during push back I couldn't get the left engine to start. RH engine started normally. No fuel flow for left eng during startup. Tried several tricks and thoroughly inspected my setup but could find nothing wrong. Anyone else see this or have any idea whats going on? I started the flight from a saved Short Turn saved flight and suspect that the issue may be related to how the flight was saved, butt.......... Ken Boardman Ken Boardman

October 8, 201312 yr Author Using short turnaround panel state. Sorry for the dup posts. AVSIM was not responding at my end so I made numerous attempts to get the thread started which appeared to be ungood (at my end) butt.............................. Ken Ken Boardman
October 8, 201312 yr Author Set up the flight again from scratch and in a Cold / Dark state and everything (including engines) operated normally. Thanks for the tip Kyle. I acually had set the T7 to begin in the C / D state but since this flight started at night and the (unfamiliar ~ T7 cockpit is incredibly dark with no lighting I thought I'd get cute and set the power (APU and cockpit lighting) ON prior to saving. Perhaps this save technique is a no no. Best regards, Ken Ken Boardman

When I reported such a problem PMDG support said there is a hotfix in the works which will address this amongst other things.

October 8, 201312 yr Ken, you can try making sure that the Left Engine Fire switch is pushed in. I had a similar problem with no fuel flow on engine start and that did the trick. Maybe you accidentally pulled the Engine Fire switch during your setup. Hope that helps! Nigel John
October 9, 201312 yr Author Thanks to all for the valuable info regarding saves. I know what not to do now ~ Sure do love this plane and I know I haven't even scratched the surface. It may surpass the MD11 as personal favorite. Best to all, Ken Ken Boardman
