Problem purchasing products

Featured Replies

Good Morning,

I am currently residing in the UK and i am wishing to buy the 777.

My question to you is do i need to have the exact equivalent of $89.99 (56.10) which i had last night and all my attempts were declined.

Or do i need £89.99 in my account then it's all exchanged to dollars and then i try to figure out what happens after?

Just really confused that's

what you must remember when buying stuff in other currencys is the bank will charge you a transaction fee ( my bank charges a fixed rate of £1.25 i think ) and you need enough cash to cover the exchange rate set by Visa and the bank fees.

based on todays exchange rate you would need £56.18 and yesterday you would of needed £56.26 in your bank acount plus the fees your bank charges.

I think you would be better off putting £60 or more in your account to cover the extra fees you will have to pay.

Here the only place to find out the exchange rates banks use.

you need to check with your bank what they charge and if they follow visa exchange rates as my bank uses the exchage rate at the end of the day of purchase which means i could pay a little less or more depending on what time i check the exchange rates.

My bank does not charge for exchange except for what is included in the rate (they publish "incoming" and "outgoing" rates that are a couple cents different I believe). In any case, depends on the bank.
