[DX10] No screenshots in fullscreen mode

Recommended Posts

Hello,

does somebody know, why you can't take screenshots in fullscreen mode?

Tested with fsscreen and screenshooter and with both programmes I only got black screens.

In windowed mode everything is ok....strange.

You must make sure that the full screen resolution set in your FSX display settings matches the resolution of your monitor, as set in Windows.

Then the V key will work.

It is also possible to run FSX in "full screen windowed" mode, also known as "Pseudo Full Screen".

This has the advantage of always being at the correct resolution, as although it fills the screen with no borders, it is still in a window.

A second advantage is that cockpit tooltips work, as they do not in Dx10 FSX full screen mode.

How to achieve this is a little complex but if there were a demand, I could add a guide to this thread.

Regards,

Nick
