I recently picked up PFPX and now I am trying to be much more realistic in my flight planning. I did not purchase top cat as it does not have the info for 777 at this time. I have noticed people talking about aurasim for takeoff/landing calculations. Does anyone use this and is it accurate? When top cat updates the profiles what would top cat do differently?

Aurasim hasn't released the 777 profile yet, they say it'll be out this month.

I use it with the Majestic dash 8 400 and it works. The 777 profile is meant to be out this month.

I just picked up the Dash 8 so am trying it out with that. The Dash 8 is a beast to learn to fly. I'm not sure I will ever complain about the 777 being too automated after my experiences with the Dash 8.

It's certainly different but with practise you will get the hang of it. It's great for flying into airports that the 777 or NGX could ever get to. So it makes a great change
