October 15, 201312 yr In FSX I never felt much need to subscribe to a Nav service to keep cycles up to date, or for that matter, my charts, because actual FSX runway headings were firmly fixed in 2005. I know that there was some update or workaround at one point, but I understood it was not a 100% solution, seemed like a pain, and I never got around to it. Is there any provision in P3D to keep these things up to date or is it pretty much just same story as FSX?

October 15, 201312 yr Commercial Member Updating those files would be a copyright violation of epic proportions. All of the information regarding where a nav aid is, it's type... etc... that's not free. It's purchased under a license to be used in the sim. The license has restrictions regarding the protection of said copyrighted data. It's simply a big 'no-no' to open up that data to the public for modification in any form. October 15, 201312 yr Author So how do other people deal with this? Many make it a point to have the latest cycle for their fmsor the most current chart, but that just takes you farther away from what's actually in the sim. On my last approach (in FSX, don't have P3D yet) I kept drifting to the left because I was flying course 99, as my charts said, and my fms said, but the actual localizer course in the 2005 world of FSX was 102. It's just one of those small annoyances in FSX that I've been hoping there could eventually be some form of relief for. So if there is no provision made, or planned for in P3D to go about synchronizing this, I wonder if there is any possibility P3Dv2 will at least be fixed in a more recent year? I guess the answer is probably no.
October 15, 201312 yr Author Ditto Dosent fix the position tho What do you mean when you say the position?
October 15, 201312 yr Yes, mis informed as far as I see it's only the ndbs. Quote For all regions, NDBs embedded in airport BGL files are not corrected. This will result in a very few discrepancies (some decommissioned NDBs, wrong name and/or coordinates, etc). Except for some European /quote I do see ils being aligned perfectly
