Aviator, do note that you can get the stall warning horn to "chirp" for a moment as you go beyond the critical AoA as you go into an accelerated stall in a steep turn. Most of the time it won't even go off at all because the stall is comes abrubtly though you are happily flying along at 90KIAS. The airspeed is also not going to tell you how close you are to a stall. The stall warnings at those specific airspeeds you are describing only occur in an unaccelerated condition such as during slow flight.

 30 AOB tell me the amount of LIFT required ? If  I have not asked the question right feel free to let me know.

If it's a typo and you meant to write AoA, then, you're asking what is the lift at 30º AoA? If so, what wing profile?

Don't know about wing profiles but I get it should be pretty much same for all small aircraft's.

Not straight and Level , I mean when the aircraft is banking .

 

It is a simple calculation. 

 

for a 30 AOB   =  COS 30 will give you 0.86 LIFT required.  

 

OK OK I used a calculator to get the answer too weak in maths. But these are the fundamentals which I have been taught. Just going through my notes all torn apart LOL..

if you divide 1 by the value ( co-sine ) you found, you'll find mine :-) = 1,15....

 

That's the lift required ( around 13% more than in level flight :-) )

you should be calculating to give you the additional lift required for 30º bank :-)

 

It's the outside wing which will travel a longer linear distance.

Hmm no , I want your Altitude just based on your hpa.  Lets say your QNH is 30.20 what would your altitude be. What if your Altimeter needle is stuck .

if you do not have any other instrument aboard it can be tricky.

 

To start with, it depends on the airmass you're flying through, if it's a Low or a High, if it's cold ( denser ) or warm, if it's day or night....

 

But even assuming you're on a perfect ISA atmosphere, the pressure lapse rate is not linear, although until a considerable altitude you may assume it drops by about 1mb each 30 feet.

 

Now, if you're a brave pilot, flying a reciprocating prop aircraft, and the MP gauge is working fine, you can turn off the engine, note how much the MP reads, and then find the lapse assuming at sea level you're at 29,92, multiplying by 30 feet find the approximate altitude :-)

Hehehe I have the equation, I was also told that you can fly the aircraft in fact certain manuevers just watching the cockpit regions.

 

I will post the equation later as i am not able to find it still for my old notes. There were so many calculations shown to me.

 

also was taught measuring speed distance ETA based on the 5 mins on the watch damn all forgotten.  There is also a different calculation which Pilots will definitely know   IIRC

I just bought Carenado C172N...just wanting to know if I'm missing something; want to give X-Plane and Carenado a fair chance.

 

My initial impression is, unfortunately, the Carenado C172N is not in the same league as A2A's C172SP. I am talking not just about details of the plane and how functional everything is inside the cockpit, but also their flight characteristics. A2A is so much more realistic.

 

Hopefully X-Plane will get an awesome C172 in the near future....
