October 27, 201312 yr The Bargain Hunter's Shack segment of the Avsim Forum indicates that the Aerosoft Twin Otter Extended is currently available at a reduced price. I already have Aerosoft's Twin Otter (which contains both the 300 and 100 models). I am very satisfied with it. On the basis that the Twin Otter Extended has reached the stage where it now contains all of the 300 model components, I am toying with buying it whilst at a reduced price even though it does not yet have the 100 model components. However, I want to ensure that my earlier Twin Otter product remains and is not compromised in any way ie I can use both products and that they are mutually exclusive. Can someone let me know whether the Extended installs as a completely separate product and does not overwrite, impinge on or affect the earlier Twin Otter product?
October 27, 201312 yr I believe it does, but check at the Aerosoft forums to be sure http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/forum/588-twin-otter-extended/ I suspect you won't be flying the older model long once you buy the new one Hans Soule
October 27, 201312 yr Extended is a completely separate product. At current price it's an excellent product. It's a good product even at full price. The biggest change in my opinion is the VC - night and day difference in overall quality. It's sort of like Realair Duke version 1 vs the new v2 - both can be installed on your system and both are separate products that work fine together. And ya... I don't run version 1 of otter or duke anymore. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
