October 30, 201312 yr Looking forward to what you can do with the surface visibility Stephen, i know FSX cant render visibility layer in a realistic way, but extending the surface visibility layer up from the ground to maybe 3 or 4 thousand feet would help out. At low levels the visibility layers, as in real life, are associated with cloud bases and inversion layers and that is what we have always done and will continue to do. What I said was I would look into reducing the visibility gradient slightly if I can at the very lowest levels and vis layers, this will still use the cloud bases and inversion layers as reference, simply the vis would improve less rapidly at the lowest altitudes. But you have already said above that you do NOT like having reduced vis at 4000 feet. You would get the same effect already if you just set a more realistic Default Surface Visibility of 32km or 48km. Stephen
