Is NVidia Inspector a must have

Featured Replies

I used NI a few years ago but had CTD quite often. The settings werent much different then the ones set in the NVidia control panel. I heard the older version was more buggier then the current. I run DX10 now and have most of the recommended tweaks in my FSX.cfg. I also have  the DX10 fixer. Is it worth going with the NI. I run an older NVidia 470 with okay fps's and use a OKed i5 2500 at 4.6gz on W7 64bit. Also installed latest Nvidia drivers (331.58) and have seen better performance without touching anything else. Is there a lot to be gained with Nvidai Inspector? Just wondering. Thanks.

Setting Vsync at 1/2 refresh rate works nicely for most people and gives

you better smoothness (coupled with fps set at 30 in FSX).

For that, you need NI.

Thanks Bert. I already run the 30fps limit. I will give NI a try. I see a few recommended settings on the forums but I know they are all personal according to your rig. I see you are from BC. One of my favorite areas to fly in.Have a few of the small ORBX GA airports,CYZT,CYBD and of course CYVR from FSDT. Thanks again.
