How to install a PMDG-737 livery

Featured Replies

I am about to download/install a 737 livery but without success. There is no problem with MD-11 liveries.

I noticed that the 737 livery has a file extension of .PTP and I wonder what I need to open the file and

install the livery.

The PMDG Livery Manager (see your Start menu).

hello all!

I'd like to ask about a little problem I have when trying to download some liveries:

- I have had to uninstall and reinstall 737 PMDG from FS-X sometimes and I've succesfully installed some liveries before uninstalling it, but after installing it again, when I try to reinstall all the liveries I want, appears a small window saying that:

"texture folder already exists... please enter a new texture folder below"...

so, I'm a bit confused what I need to do...

could you give me some advice, please? thanks!

p.s.: I run the Livery Manager as administrator, obviously.

Daniel Sinico.

(sorry for my English mistakes).

Next time, you should create a new thread for your somewhat unique problem.

What happened is you didn't follow the uninstall-reinstall steps as outlined at support.precisionmanuals.com (one of the many reasons I tell people not to uninstall-reinstall unless absolutely necessary).  Because of this, folders were left behind from the prior install and you did not delete them.  The program sees the folders still there and is assuming it shouldn't write over them.

When you started the livery manager, did it not ask if you'd like to restore or delete the liveries that it found?
