November 4, 201312 yr oh well good.. just the slightest oddest thing can really screw up FSX ... Ciao!
November 4, 201312 yr I have no idea what hardware defects present themselves like.....but if the problem keeps occuring without you having changed anything (like a driver)....then I would take a look under the hood and clean out the dust. To clean the GPU you would have to take it out of the PC and unscrew the cover so you can clean the inside. Rob Robson
November 4, 201312 yr My guess is an anti aliasing setting. I had something similar some time ago. Dennis Trawick Screen Shot Forum Rules
November 5, 201312 yr That is weird....I have never had any graphical glitches untill now :-( Must be contaguous! white flashes, weird colours, strange lines, you name it, but pretty much all of it outside the cockpit. I think my PFD/ND etc would have been effected but since I have them undocked and on another monitor they were ok. The only display left inside the VC was the Standby Horizon and it was white-ish. I have been overnight VAS test (airplane in a holding for 8-11 hrs) and this was the first test with AI traffic activated. (no cars or ships) I dont know if the problem can be reproduced yet. I have not changed any drivers or NV inspector settings. I do not use bufferpools at the moment. I am overclocked (CPU only) at 4.4Ghz. Rob Robson
November 5, 201312 yr Over clocking can cause issues. I ran FSX no problems for a few months before getting constant crashes, even though it's made no changes. It was only when I reduced the clock speed slightly it run ok again. Admittedly my issue was stability not graphics, but if you continue to get problems reducing clock speed may help. Jordan Forrest
