I started X-Plane 10 with my photo scenery area for Lisbon and Sado bay, OSM Europe + autogen, and went flying the default Baron 58 on RWW, just to see how different my sim was looking from the recently released MegaScenery Portugal fo rFSX / P3D...

How does it look, even for free?  Better!!!!!

Jose´, this is looking very nice. I understand your move to XPX. Sometimes a descicion has to be made. During the last few months I used FSX and XPX. Whatever sim I returned to after using the other looked superior to me. so I was constantly changing, mind and sim.

I have spent too much time thinking about what sim to fly, what software to add to what sim, I have put an end to this too. Got a refund for the last two purchases from Flight1 and have invested that money in the 777 and the A380.

I remember the good times I had cruising low and slow over ORBX land, but the future has begun. FSX deleted, disks went to the garbage. I'm free now.

WOW! All or nothing  :P

I've had XPX about 3 weeks now. I can't chuck out my PMDG 777 though.

I've got both sims installed so for me it's a win win ;)

I bought the 777 worldliner+expansions and it's good, but it won't do as a PMDG replacement for me.

X-Plane 10, my sim too.

That makes two of us Ralf, not because, just as you also pointed out, I think FSX is a bad sim, quite on the contrary ( and as I once wrote, it is still the best coverage of most of the features a civil flight simulator lover want's to find in such a program !!! ), specially with those top-quality add-ons created by PMDG, A2A, RealAIr, Flight1, OrbX. etc..., but because I was being unable to manage the stress of more than one sim at the same time, and the inevitable comparisons I kept making all of the time and were preventing me from really enjoying each one properly. Add to it DCS World, and I was in a whirlwind!

I decided to dedicate *** ONLY *** to X-Plane 10, probably continuing with 11, 12... because I really think, just like many, it is for now the most promissing platform for the future. It's dynamic / constant evolution, the speed at which more and better add-ons are becoming available, the pleasure I have been taking from flying the WL 777 even after my experience with that great PMDG 777, but also the An-24, the Mu-2, the dc-3, the A380, etc... give me more than enough reasons to believe in X-Plane and in it's potential and future, and, above all, give me exactly what I want to flind in a flight simulator, not more, not less :-)

I can fly from airliners to GA aircraft, good helicopters ( impossible in FSX ), have a very plausible World to fly in, weather engine better in some important aspects than what's presently available for FSX, and it is a lot more easy to mantain, and also cheaper!

Jesse, it is more than worth keeping FSX just for the purpose of flying PMDGs, A2As, RealAirs and the Aerosoft AXE which is converging towards a very good Airbus simulation for the FSX platform while we wait for FSLab's offer...

The PMDG 777 is a Masterpiece! just as their NGX was. The usability, the interfaces, the depth of the simulation are unique !
