My first officer seems to have gone a bit dumb. I have a simple script that works fine when I get it to run, however My first office seems to be unable to comprehend what I say.

 

The script is called "start setting up", so I say "start setting up". My co pilot comes back with "can you confirm, start setting up" or "repeat, start setting up". This goes on for a few occasions until they finally start flicking switches.

 

I have tried re training the speech and changed commands but still no luck.

 

Anybody else had this problem?

What options have you selected for the script?

 

Also, what are some of the commands you are requesting?

As I have said, the problem is not with the script, the script runs fine. The problem is with the FO keep asking for conformation. He is not saying "I can't do that", he is saying, "Please confirm" and "Say again"

Th option "Require confirmation" in "script properties" when ticked for a particular script acts as a safeguard against accidental activation.

 

For such scripts, FO will want confirmation first. Just say

 

Affirmative

positive

yes please

go ahead

execute

do it

etc..

etc...

 

Just untick the option if the flow isn't doing anything critical.
