I downloaded a freeware updated version of the 9g1 runway provided by this link: http://simviation.com/1/browse-Scenery-63-59 (at the bottom)..

 

I placed the two files in the zip file in its own folder, subfolder scenery under addons.. and added to the scenery library..

 

I get the mangled attached image as a result.. cliffs on each side of the runway and trees in the runway. (the other image is how it probably should look.. showing the exclusion area, etc.. though i do have utx enabled)

 

One of the files attached was titled ***CVX***.bgl.. from what i gathered this should be an exclusion file that would help with the issue but doesnt seem to.

 

I downloaded Airport Designer X in an attempt to see if i could tweak things, but i've never used the app before.. so any thoughts on how to tweak this would be great.

(There doesnt seem to be any contact info on the designer, otherwise I would have contacted them first).

I installed it and checked with the default scenery.  It's a mess.  Not sure about the "update" wording.

Its a shame.. the elevation appears correct and they have the correct 17/35 runways, instead of the default fsx ones.. but its useless with cliffs and trees
