Hybrid Liveries - NGX

Featured Replies

I took the background of the once available Delta freeware McPhat NGX livery, and after some work in the photo editing software I have (also freeware), I put the markings of different carriers (PMDG stock liveries) on top. A little confusing, though here are the results I came up with. Unfortunately I can't make these available as these great paints were not made by me (I simply merged them), though if anyone wants detailed instructions on how I did this feel free to request and I can hopefully post them.

Hope you enjoy!

PS - The WestJet was my first attempt and therefore does not look as good as the others - that's why the blending marks at the bottom of the fuselage are so apparent. I've also made United and airberlin repaints, though I do not have screenshots of them yet.

Here are more pictures, this time showing more. I also have a revived WestJet, Austrian and airberlin not shown... If anyone is curious about the process, or has any other likes, dislikes, questions, queries, comments or concerns please reply to the topic or PM me. Thanks!

How does this impact texture size? For example, the default livery is XXXMB and your hybrid is XXXMB.

Using the Southwest livery, the default/stock kit was more or less 100MB, the McPhat hybrid livery being 333MB. So, yes, there is a relatively significant size increase from default to these hybrid liveries. That being said the Southwest hybrid livery is almost 50MB less in size than the Delta McPhat repaint which I created my relative "paint kit" off of.

I've updated the tail/engine textures of the TUI, Thomson and Southwest liveries to make them flow better with the fuselage colours.

A couple more repaints - Norwegian Air Shuttle, SAS and updated Westjet. I'll try to get pictures of the CanJet, Sun Country, Aeromexico NC, updated United, Airberlin, and Caribbean Airlines when I can.
