Awful Runway Lights

Featured Replies

Since I installed the fixer a month ago flying during the day is good.

Flying at night in and out of airports, the runway lights are pretty bad.

I use mostly large payware airports.

Is there any way to fix this?

Pretty bad in what sense?

Are they airports that previously were grey at night or not? What happens if you uninstall the libraries and try in default dx10?

If you are referring to legacy airports where the lights go out at certain viewing angles then that can be addressed using a light field bgl as described in the manual.

If the lights are too bright perhaps the try disabling bloom and reducing the bloom lights slider in dx10controller

I am referring to the lights on the runways that one follows when taxiing.

they appear as a pyramid shaped cone.

I always fly to and from large payware airports.

I also use REX weather.

I will try what you suggested.

Thanks

Hi Paul, can you list some examples of the airports.

For solid light cones I would suggest

check that the 8 bit fix is unticked this "fix" is only intended for testing legacy aircraft it should never be left set on

if that's ok then move the legacy slider to the left
