December 14, 200421 yr In case this hasn't been spotted yet.Available on http://junkers-52.de/buecker_131.htmGreat stuff. Puts a lot of payware to shame. John
December 14, 200421 yr >Great find! I thought this was once payware. Am I wrong>about that?Yes, that's what I thought too. Pureflight were the developers I believe. John
December 14, 200421 yr The visual model is supurb. HOWEVER, has anybody got it to take off in a straight line? My first experience was that it is way too sensitive to rudder control on the ground. I kept veering off to one side and crashing before ever getting to flying speed. Anybody know how to defuse the rudder action?Stan V.
December 14, 200421 yr Try the same as you would with a Spitfire - apply a small amount of power to start moving and build the power up as rudder authority increases. :-)Ian P.
December 14, 200421 yr Thanks for the tip, Ian. Unfortunately I did try that but so far I have not been successful - the torque eventually pulls it off to one side and then it overreacts to the rudder when I try to correct no matter how gentle I try to be. Am I the only one having trouble with this aircraft?Stan V.
December 15, 200421 yr They are working on a fix for this. In the meantime I moved my realism sliders from max to medium and all is fine. Hawk
December 15, 200421 yr Get upgraded flight dynamics here :http://www.cfcforums.com/showthread.php?t=9803Look for Magoo on the second page. Modv2.0 for both A & B models. Performs as lovely as it looks now! :9
December 15, 200421 yr Thanks for the info on the FDE upgrade and now I can actually get it off the ground and fly it. It handles very well too. One more niggle, if I may - when I shut off the engine, the engine turns off but the prop keeps turning as seen from the spot view and the VC view - at about idle speed. Does anyone else have this problem and can anyone suggest a fix?Stan V.
December 15, 200421 yr Author I've got the Pureflight Jobbie and it is not tha same at all, they are both the same aircraft but the similarity stops there. the take of is a lot harder than the RA Spit IMHO, the trick is to lock the tail wheel, the lever in the VC works fine for this. its still a bit of a handfull but it can be made to take off.
