Could anyone let me know how to activate the ILS please? I have the correct ILS frequency on my NAV radio, but the ILS needles do not come on. Thanks.

OK KSFO RW28R ILS is screwed up!

Hi everyone. It's been a while. As an old FS fan (1982)!, I do most of my flying in Europe. Decided to fly in the US today and came across this problem. ILS approach to KSFO RW 28R in and old Boeing 737 200 (CS). Lined up nicely for the approach at 4000 feet. Localiser active Glide slope acquired nicely. As I approached the airport, I saw that although my ILS indicator and map showed me perfectly lined up, the runway was askew! In all my years of flying in FS, I don't think I've ever come across this before. Any ideas, suggestions please. (FSX Steam Edition)

In the opening shots of your video, why does your aircraft look so incredibly small sitting on a huge runway? Surely, scaling must be off. Looks like an RC model. 🙂

Hi Edgar and. welcome to the forum. What a pleasant surprise. This is a great forum,and community and although I have been a member for 18 years, I don't use it as much as I should. I fly airliners mostly, and have been a big fan of Project Tupolev over the years, flying the Tu-154, of course as well as the Il-62 and the Tu-134. These worked very well in FS9 but needed work for FSX. Thankfully PT have produced an excellent FSX version of the Tu-154. I really like your Il-62M conversion. Very close to the PT original. Must have needed a lot of work. Well, I think I will do a bit more flying today. I am now fairly confident with the autopilot, but, using the orange trim wheel. I can only get the aircraft to climb. It will not descend below level flight. I am probably doing something wrong. All the best John. P.S. I used to love the small YAK 42. Do you know if there is a good FSX version available?

Very nice. It's taken me three days to be able to fly the Aeroproyecto Ilyushin Il-62M, use the weird autopilot and do a successful ILS approach. Developed from FS9 for FSX by Edgar Guinart López, who hails from Cuba, and includes some excellent documentation in English on the workings of this beast. Gracias. .

Thank you all. You're right. Managed to find the correct texture for it now. The Aircraft is the Il-62m from Aeroproyecto.(available from Flightsim.ru) Originally made for FS9, but has been "adapted" for FSX. Hard work getting to grips with it but well worth it.

Thank you. FSX. I had one version of the Ilyushin Il-62m, which had several textures which worked well. Texture folders do not have texture.cfg file. I now have a much better Il-62m, which has just one white texture. I tried using the textures from the old version in the new one, and this is when tho problem surfaced.

Selected aircraft has no textures (black) Hi. I've had this problem before and used to solve it by borrowing another Texture.cfg file from another aircraft to replace the one in my texture folder. Not working now. Any ideas please

Thanks, but as a (very) old flight simmer (1982 - I still have the 5 1/4 inch diskette 🙂), I am waiting for the new 2020 "simulator" to develop from eye candy into a proper working simulator.

Which one do you suggest?

I was wondering if there was an add-on available for FSX which would provide some random movement to the aircraft.

After watching the trailer footage, I checked to make sure it wasn't April 1.:) Looks like super eye candy but probably little depth. Been running FS since 1982, which, I suppose, explains my skepticism.

Is the M available for FSX? I thought that only the B had been converted.
