December 8, 201114 yr Strange one this.Even with everything completely shut down after a flight, I am still getting a fairly loud sound, almost like an APU.I was wondering if anyone has had this problem and has managed to fix it.Thanks, John
December 8, 201114 yr Hi John, ahh, someone else. Sure, I have that issue too. Unsure whether it is somehow connected with the sound configuration in the CDU... December 8, 201114 yr Is FS9.exe still running?Open Task Manager and in the processes tab look for FS9.exe , not sure but I may have had this and if I dad that fixed it. Sam Nicholson - UK Only just got back in to flight simming and Avsim after a year or so - pardon me whilst I find my feet again!

December 9, 201114 yr Sam, I think the op was referring to shutting down the aircraft systems and not FS9 itself.I too get this problem wih some addons.I found that using a replacement soundset caused this.Reverting back to default soundpack was the answer for me.
December 9, 201114 yr Did you replace the original sound folder with a sound folder which doesn't belong to its original aircraft package (e.g. you use freeware sound replacement at the file library?) I had the same problem when I replaced the original Wilco Airbus vol. 2 sound folder (located in aircraft folder with one I had downloaded which IMO has better ambiance and detail than the default. Then I edited the sound.cfg, in the same folder. Hope this helps a bit. Good luck.regards,Prabowo
December 9, 201114 yr My bad, I thought this was happening when you tried to shut down the actual simulator. I'd try those options from above ^ Sam Nicholson - UK Only just got back in to flight simming and Avsim after a year or so - pardon me whilst I find my feet again!
