Controlling planes with keyboard on Mac?

Recommended Posts

I have bought a new iMac to play X-Plane. But is there a way to configure or use the keyboard to control the plane, like pitch and roll? The arrow keys don't seem to do anything so I have to actually control the plane by clicking the middle crosshair, and then a square pops up and i control it that way which isn't very accurate. I'm a casual flyer so I don't plan on investing tons of money, nor do I have the extra cash laying around to invest in hardware. So I would like to setup my keyboard somehow to manage flying these planes.

Thanks.

Hi

I am sorry but you are waisting your time trying to fly without a joystick. I have been using XP 9.7 and XP 10.23 with my Macbook Pro Laptops for the past 3 years with great results. Using Saitek Aviator Joystick.

Nick

You can fly using the mouse. It's quite difficult to do. They don't allow flying with the keyboard for some reason.
