November 21, 201312 yr I have bought a new iMac to play X-Plane. But is there a way to configure or use the keyboard to control the plane, like pitch and roll? The arrow keys don't seem to do anything so I have to actually control the plane by clicking the middle crosshair, and then a square pops up and i control it that way which isn't very accurate. I'm a casual flyer so I don't plan on investing tons of money, nor do I have the extra cash laying around to invest in hardware. So I would like to setup my keyboard somehow to manage flying these planes. Thanks. November 21, 201312 yr Hi I am sorry but you are waisting your time trying to fly without a joystick. I have been using XP 9.7 and XP 10.23 with my Macbook Pro Laptops for the past 3 years with great results. Using Saitek Aviator Joystick. Nick
November 21, 201312 yr Moderator You can fly using the mouse. It's quite difficult to do. They don't allow flying with the keyboard for some reason.
