November 21, 201312 yr Hope this is in the right section. Ive done some internet searches but still no positive answer. I have an HD tv id like to hook my PC up to for flight sim. My video card only has a DVI out and my tv only has VGA and HDMI inputs. Can I use a normal DVI to HDMI adapter cord or do i need some sort of converter. Will this work? Thanks for any help at all.
November 21, 201312 yr Yes - A standard DVI to VGA adapter plug will work just fine. I have a 41" HDTV hooked up to a EVGA Titan without any problems.
November 21, 201312 yr Moderator A DVI-HDMI cable would also work. I use one to connect my GTX 780 to a Sony 32" LED TV. Ray (Cheshire, England). November 22, 201312 yr Moderator Not only works but makes a lot more sense too. Indeed Rolf. VGA is analogue so there would be a certain amount of D-A conversion. No such issues with DVI-HDMI. Ray (Cheshire, England).
