Hi all,

Can anybody have an experince of what kind of frame rates get from GT640M 512MB graphic card?

Prepar3D 2.0 requires at least 1GB of VRAM. You might get it to run, but expect very low performance figures. You'll probably have to drop the resolution down as much as you can too.

I think you will really struggle with that card (or any laptop / mobile GPU).

I wouldn't recommend P3D2 for that GPU, and I think you'd get better performance with FSX in that case.

Don't even try it.  I have dual 650M in SLI mode, and it's playable at around 23 fps average, but I have to turn cool things off like most shadows, volumetric fog, and water.

Sounds optimistic I'm afraid. I'm strugeling with medium settings on a premium GTX580 with 2GB VRAM.

Hi all,

After long week of thinking, I take a risk and purchase the P3D V2 on my computer and the conclusion is P3D V2 is able to fly with 512MB video card, the frame rates i'm getting is 25FPS to 30FPS but with some setting set to low as below:

LOD:4.5

Tessellation : Low

Texture 512 x 512

Frame rates limited to 30 FPS
